Nowadays there are many arguments on how little children should be brought up. So there is a question if we need to be strict with our children.
Personally, I believe that it is useless to be strict with little children, who cannot take life lessons. Firstly, little children do not understand all the things, and at an early age they even cannot understand why they are being punished. Secondly, being overstrict can interfere with the development of your child's character. Finally, constant pressure can make your child hate you.
However, some people think that children should be disciplined as early as possible. If children are not disciplined, it can lead to situations threatening to their health and even life. Moreover, they believe disciplined children have better academic result and in the future they can demonstrate better performance at work.
Nevertheless, I do not agree with these statements. Children should understand what they do wrong, so parents should be not strict, but helpful explaining everything to their child. Besides, I believe that academic results and performance at work mostly depend on natural talents and personal skills, and strict discipline can postpone their development.
To conclude, I can say that being strict with children is useless and even can be harmful for them, and parents should demonstrate patience and understanding and exceptence of the child's individuality.
